What is IFS?
IFS, also known as Internal Family Systems, is an approach that utilizes connection with the many parts of ourselves we encounter every day.Â
IFS processing allows people to identify and access our parts, and then create meaningful connection with them, and ultimately create more harmony, self-compassion, and higher functioning as a result.
It is useful for working with all types of mental health struggles, but notably helpful with stubborn and complex mental health issues that haven't been fully addressed by cognitive models like CBT.
Trauma and complex trauma fit well within the IFS model.
Cynthia uses IFS as her main modality.
